Early Start programs are connected by legislation, funding, and mutual goals with Family Resource Networks/Centers across California. The Family Resource Network in Stockton is our direct, local source for parent-to-parent information and support. They offer a variety of services to our Early Start families including newsletters, HAT (How are Things) calls, a materials library and a variety of workshops and support groups. Visit their website at www.frcn.org

The local Infant Services Committee is looking for parent representatives. Please E-mail pthompson@vmrc.net to receive your e-mail notification of future meetings. The committee is designed to allow specialized programs throughout our county to showcase their services for infants, toddlers and their families. Committee members share ideas and attempt to create new programs and linkages when service gaps are identified.

It was this (ISC) committee that created and maintains the "All About Me" binders that are available for families of young children with complex services and/or medical needs. The binders provide a centralized place for records, milestones, and important people and meetings. They can be especially helpful when a child's care is provided by more than one person. The binder contents are available here. Binder materials are provided as time and funding allows at The Early Start Evaluation Station and its lead affiliates.
